Fall is truly one of the most magical times of the year. Leaves are changing colors, clothes are getting cozier, air is getting crisper, and cuddle sessions are getting longer. For me, fall is the best season for getting out and doing cute, fun things with your significant other.
Take advantage of the cooler weather and the pretty sights and plan some amazing dates in the fall such as these:
Decorate for Fall
Decorate your house or apartment for fall together. Bring out all the pumpkins and blankets! You can even make your own concoction that can make your house smell like fall.
Many states have their state fair or other local fairs and festivals during the fall. Go walk around one, play some games, and eat tons of fair food you can’t get any other time of the year.
Go to an orchard and pick some fresh apples right from the trees. Take some cute pictures while you’re there to remember the time spent together.
Bake an Apple Pie
When you get back home you can bake an apple pie with your fresh apples. The way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach!
Watch Halloween Movies
They don’t have to necessarily be scary movies, but cuddle up on the couch and turn on some of your favorite Halloween movies!
Go to a Corn Maze
Help each other find your way through a tricky corn maze.
If you’re into being scared go through a haunted house or trail together and see who gets scared first.
Bundle up on a hayride and watch the pretty scenery around you.
Drive through the Mountains
If you’re near the mountains take a drive along the roads to see the leaves changing colors. I may be a little biased, but the Blue Ridge Mountains are the best for watching the leaves.
Make some Apple Cider
If you have any apples left you can always make some delicious apple cider together to sip on throughout the night.
Go to a Football Game
Here in the south, fall means football. Go to a game together and cheer on your favorite team. If you can’t make it to one, throw your own little viewing party at home!
Have a Bonfire
Build a fire and roast some marshmallows while sitting around. Bonus points if you take the time to enjoy the stars and the sounds of nature.
A basic one, but a good one. You can spice up your date by turning it into a competition on who had the best pumpkin. Have a neighbor or friend judge it for you!
Make your own Halloween costumes
Find a cute couple costume you both like and try to see if you can recreate it yourself!
Host a Friendsgiving dinner
Make a delicious meal together and invite all your friends over to celebrate Thanksgiving together!
Go on a Hike
Finally, the weather is cool! Take advantage of this and go on a nice hike. You’ll get to see some pretty sites too since the leaves are changing!
Have a nice beer and cook up some bratwurst and celebrate the German festival!
Make some Fall DIYs
Gather your craft supplies and make some cute home decor pieces or any other project for the fall season!
Make a Fleece Blanket
Make a tie fleece blanket big enough for the both of you to share on those chilly nights.
The best season of all only comes once a year. Enjoy it while it’s here!
